Sister Teresa Carmel, a Blessed Sacrament nun, was an influential and vital personage in the elevation and success of the New Orleans DFT ministry.  She was instrumental in securing the use of St. Katherine Drexel Preparatory (Xavier Preparatory) for our weekly Bible Study.  A woman of small stature, she was a force to be reckoned with in her humble and genteel mannerism.  Sister Teresa demonstrated the true lifestyle of a loving Child of God.  Her love for all mankind and prayerfulness is to be celebrated.  To memorialize her love of God and to continue her service to others, DFT established a scholarship, in her honor, which is awarded yearly to St. Katherine Drexel Preparatory.
